Benefits of Counselling

I believe that all young people deserve a safe, confidential space in which they can be supported. Emotional health provides the foundation for long-term wellbeing. Given the complexity and challenges of our society, it is vital that we support the mental wellbeing of our children and young people.

Counselling is bespoke and unique to each individual. Some of the benefits may include:

  • Feeling heard and less alone

  • Creating coherent narratives about difficult experiences

  • Helping feelings become more manageable

  • Building self-esteem

  • Promoting regulation of the nervous system

  • Improving emotional communication

  • Developing emotional resilience

Specific Concerns

I offer support for specific issues and long-term challenges including:

  • Worrying and anxiety

  • Low mood and depression

  • Low self-esteem

  • Bereavement

  • Loss

  • Bullying and friendship issues

  • Self-harm

  • Stress
